Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for making web content accessible to people with disabilities. They set three levels of conformance: A, AA, and AAA.
Vesupia Books is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that most of this website meets the standard, but some parts do not fully conform. The specific areas that fall short are described below.
Measures We Have Taken
To support accessibility on this site, we have:

reviewed the site using the accessibility auditing tools provided by our website platform and corrected the issues within our control;

written descriptive alternative text for images that convey meaning;

structured page headings so that screen reader users can navigate content in a logical order;

written link text that describes its destination rather than relying on generic phrases;

provided captions on video content; and

treated accessibility as an ongoing responsibility rather than a one-time review.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts of this website are not fully accessible. We have chosen to name them rather than leave them undisclosed.
Platform-generated components. This website is built on a hosted website platform. Certain components — including the online store, the appointment booking system, and the blog — are generated by that platform, and their underlying code is not editable by us. Some of these components contain accessibility issues we have identified but cannot repair directly. We have reported them to the platform provider.
Heading structure within third-party components. For the same reason, the heading hierarchy inside some platform-generated sections does not follow a fully logical order. Screen reader users may encounter headings that skip levels within those sections. Headings within our own page content have been corrected.
Video audio description. Our video content includes captions, but does not currently include audio description. Where visual information is not conveyed by the audio track, we are working to provide a text description on the same page as the video.

This site has been assessed using the automated accessibility auditing tools provided by our website platform, supplemented by manual review of page structure, alternative text, and link text. It has not been evaluated by an independent third-party accessibility auditor.
